1. Introduction

ArtoMania Studio Pvt Ltd, operating as Studio99, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services and associated products.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, password, phone number
• Profile Information: Avatar, preferences, timezone, language
• Billing Information: Payment method details, billing address (processed by Razorpay)
• Content: Designs, projects, text art, and other content you create
• Communications: Support requests, feedback, survey responses

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system
• Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent, API calls
• Session Data: Login times, session duration, device identifiers
• Cookies: Authentication tokens, preferences, analytics

2.3 Third-Party Sign-In

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

2.4 Text Input, Transliteration & Content Generation (CalligraphyMaker)

CalligraphyMaker lets you type a word or phrase to generate calligraphy artwork. To support Indian-language input, the text you type is processed as follows:

• Transliteration: When you type in Latin (Roman) characters, your input is sent to Google's transliteration service solely to convert it into the corresponding Unicode script (for example, Hindi, Marathi, or Gujarati). This step is provided by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy policy; it is not an Adobe or Canva feature.
• Rendering: The resulting Unicode text is then passed to our own converter, which renders it into calligraphy artwork on our servers.
• No retention: The text you type in this flow is used only to generate your result. We do not store it, sell it, or share it with any third party beyond the transliteration step described above.
• Adobe Express add-on (version 1.1 and later): Generating designs in the Calligraphy Maker add-on for Adobe Express requires a Studio99 account (Google or email sign-in); we receive your name and email address from your sign-in, handled as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.3. The add-on reads the anonymous Adobe profile identifier provided by Adobe Express only to apply the monthly free-credit allowance per profile, and stores its sign-in session in the add-on's own storage. Your generations are recorded in your account's usage history, as for the browser extension (Section 2.8).

About "AI-generated" artwork: While CalligraphyMaker artwork may be described as "AI-generated," the results are produced programmatically using our own rendering engine, fonts, and templates. Output is generated deterministically from your input rather than by a generative machine-learning model, and you are free to use the results in your own designs subject to our content license.

2.5 Calligraphy Maker Android App

When you use the Calligraphy Maker mobile app (distributed via Google Play), the following applies in addition to the rest of this policy:

• Account: Generating calligraphy requires a free Studio99 account (email sign-up or Google Sign-In). Your account information is handled as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.3.
• Device identifier: We collect a device-level identifier (Android's ANDROID_ID) and use it solely for fraud prevention and abuse control — for example, ensuring the monthly free credit allowance is not multiplied by creating many accounts on one device. It is not used for advertising and is not sold or shared.
• Advertising (free tier): The app shows ads served by Google AdMob — banner ads, occasional interstitial ads, and optional rewarded videos you can watch to earn bonus credits. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Paid subscribers see no ads.
• Rewarded credits: When you finish a rewarded ad, Google notifies our server with a signed confirmation (including your account identifier) so we can add the earned credits. We use this only to grant and audit rewards.
• Push notifications: With your permission, the app registers a push token (via Expo / Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send service notifications. You can disable notifications in system settings at any time.
• Saving artwork: Downloads are saved to your device's gallery with your permission. The app does not read, upload, or scan your other photos or files.
• Account deletion: You can delete your Studio99 account and associated data at any time from accounts.studio99.app/dashboard/settings (Danger Zone → Delete Account), or by emailing reach@studio99.app.

2.6 AI Assistant Connector (Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP apps)

Calligraphy Maker by Studio99 is available as a connector (also called an app or plugin) for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude, built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). You add it in your AI app, sign in with your Studio99 account, and the assistant can then call our three tools on your behalf. This section describes exactly what each tool receives and returns, what we keep, for how long, who else receives it, and the controls you have.

• The three tools, their inputs and outputs:
  • Generate Calligraphy receives the text to render (up to 100 characters, in its final script, for example Devanagari or Gujarati) and, optionally, the language, a use case (such as wedding or poster), a mood, and a style identifier. It returns up to two freshly rendered designs as links to a PNG image and an SVG vector file hosted by us, up to two matching ready-made artworks from our Inkora library, the number of credits used this month, and links back to studio99.app. In ChatGPT the results contain no plan or upgrade links. Each call uses 5 credits from your monthly allowance.
  • Open in Studio99 Editor receives the link of an SVG we generated earlier and, optionally, a title, the original text and its language. It saves a copy of that artwork as a project in your Studio99 account and returns a link that opens it in our editor (Prishora). It is free of charge.
  • List Calligraphy Styles receives optional filters (language, mood, use case, maximum number) and returns our public style catalogue. It receives no personal data and is free of charge.
• Data we collect:
  • Account identity: your Studio99 user identifier, name and email address, received from your sign-in and handled as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.3. If you create your Studio99 account while connecting, we record that you signed up through the connector and from which AI app.
  • AI app identity: the name the AI application registers when it connects (for example "ChatGPT") and its software identifier (User-Agent), so we can show you which app made each request and support that app correctly.
  • Tool inputs: the text, language, use case, mood and style you ask the assistant to use, as listed above.
  • Usage records: for every generation we record the date and time, the text and options you asked for, the AI app, the number of results and the credits used. For every project created we record the date and time, the AI app and the project identifier. These records appear in the usage history of your Studio99 dashboard.
  • Technical logs: short-lived server logs of each request (timestamp, your user identifier, the AI app, the text and options, your plan, counts, response time and any error) used only for reliability, security and support.
  • What we do not collect: your conversation, other messages, files, memory or settings from your AI assistant (we see only the tool calls above); your device's IP address or location (requests reach us from your AI provider's servers, not from your device); payment card details (nothing is sold inside the AI app, and any purchase happens on accounts.studio99.app with Razorpay); and no transliteration data, because the connector takes text that is already in its final script, so Google's transliteration service (Section 2.4) is not used here.
• Purposes: to render your artwork and host the resulting files so your AI app can show and link them; to apply your plan and monthly credit allowance; to save projects you ask for; to show your usage history in your dashboard; to prevent abuse (for example, a limit of 10 generations per minute per account); to answer support requests and fix faults; and to produce aggregate statistics (such as which languages and styles are most used) that help us improve the service. Connector data is not used for advertising, not used to build a profile of you, not sold, and not used to train machine-learning models.
• Recipients:
  • Your AI assistant provider (for example OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude) relays your tool calls to us and receives everything our tools return (image and SVG links, artwork titles, credit counts and links). Their handling of your conversation and of our responses is governed by their own privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare stores the generated PNG and SVG files (R2 object storage) and serves them on our content delivery network at unlisted links that contain a random identifier.
  • Vercel hosts the connector service and holds its short-lived technical logs.
  • Neon hosts our database (AWS Singapore region), where your account, credit and usage records live.
  • No other recipients. We do not sell or share connector data with anyone else, except as required by law (Section 4).
• Retention timelines:
  • Sign-in tokens: the access token your AI app holds expires after 1 hour, the refresh token after 30 days, and the AI app's connection registration after 1 year. Tokens are signed, not stored by us.
  • Temporary working data: your plan status is cached for 5 minutes and the per-minute generation counter is held in memory for 1 minute; neither is written to a database.
  • Usage records (including the text you asked for) are kept for as long as your Studio99 account exists and are deleted with it.
  • Generated PNG and SVG files are deleted automatically 12 months after they were created, or earlier on request. A project you created from a result keeps its own copy of the artwork and is not affected.
  • Projects are kept until you delete them in the editor or delete your account.
  • Technical server logs are deleted automatically within a few days.
• Your controls:
  • Disconnect the connector at any time in your AI app's settings. The app then stops calling our tools; any token it still holds expires within 30 days at the latest.
  • See and manage your usage history, plan and credits at accounts.studio99.app, and delete any project in the Studio99 editor.
  • Delete your account and all associated data, including the connector link and your usage records, yourself at accounts.studio99.app/dashboard/settings (Danger Zone → Delete Account).
  • Ask us at reach@studio99.app to remove specific generated files before the 12-month deletion, to export your data, or to exercise any right listed in Section 7.

2.7 AMS Converter Android App

AMS Converter (by IndiaFont / Studio99, distributed via Google Play) is a free, ad-supported utility that converts typed or pasted text into the AMS font keyboard format. It requires no account or sign-in, and it is designed to collect as little data as possible:

• Your text: Conversion to AMS format happens entirely on your device. When you type in English, the text you enter is sent to Google's Input Tools service to obtain Hindi/Marathi/Gujarati transliteration suggestions, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive, store, or log your text on our servers — the app has no Studio99 backend.
• History: Your recent conversions are saved only on your device and can be deleted in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes them.
• Advertising: The app shows banner and occasional interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
• No account, no personal data: The app has no sign-up, collects no name, email, contacts, files, or photos, and sends no notifications.

2.8 Calligraphy Maker Browser Extension (Chrome and other Chromium browsers)

The Calligraphy Maker browser extension (available on the Chrome Web Store and usable in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers) opens as a side panel where you type text and get calligraphy designs. When you use it, the following applies in addition to the rest of this policy:

• Permissions: The extension asks only for sidePanel, contextMenus, storage, and identity. It has no host permissions and no content scripts, so it cannot read or change the websites you visit.
• Account: Generating designs requires a Studio99 account (Google or email sign-in). We receive your name and email address from your sign-in, handled as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.3.
• Text you submit: We receive the text you type into the side panel and ask us to turn into calligraphy, along with your chosen language, style, and colour. If you select text on a web page and choose "Make calligraphy with Calligraphy Maker" from the right-click menu, that selected text is passed to the side panel, and only that text. When you type in Latin (Roman) letters for Hindi, Marathi, or Gujarati, the text is sent to Google's transliteration service to suggest the matching script, as described in Section 2.4.
• Usage and install identifier: We record usage counts (generations and credits used) and technical logs such as errors and response times. The extension also creates a random install identifier, which we use only to apply the free monthly credit allowance fairly per browser and to prevent abuse. It is not tied to your device hardware and is not used for advertising.
• Stored in your browser: Your sign-in tokens and your preferences (language, style, and colour) are kept in the extension's local browser storage and are removed when you remove the extension. The random install identifier is also kept in your browser's extension storage, including its sync storage when browser sync is turned on, so the free allowance stays fair if the extension is reinstalled on the same browser profile.
• What we never collect: Your browsing history, the content of the pages you visit, or anything you type outside the extension's side panel. We also never see your payment card details: upgrades are paid on accounts.studio99.app and processed by Razorpay.
• Your designs: Designs are rendered on our servers on the fly and sent back to the side panel. We do not keep them in a gallery. If you click "Edit in Prishora", that design is saved as a project in your Studio99 account so you can keep editing it.
• How we use it: Only to provide the service: generating your designs, running your account and monthly credits, answering support requests, and preventing abuse. Extension data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• Retention & control: Usage records, including the text you submitted, are kept as part of your account history. You can sign out of the extension or remove it from your browser at any time. You can delete your Studio99 account and associated data from accounts.studio99.app/dashboard/settings or by emailing reach@studio99.app.

2.9 Calligraphy Maker for Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects)

The Calligraphy Maker extension for Adobe Creative Cloud (available from Adobe Exchange and as a direct download from our website) runs as a panel inside Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. When you use it, the following applies in addition to the rest of this policy:

• Your documents: The extension does not read your documents, artboards, projects, or files. It only writes the design you choose to insert into the open document, and saves the files you ask it to save (PNG or SVG downloads in your Downloads folder; for Premiere Pro and After Effects, which link to media files, the inserted PNGs are kept in a Calligraphy Maker folder in your user data).
• Account: Generating designs requires a Studio99 account. Sign-in happens in your web browser, never in the panel; the browser returns a one-time code to the panel on your own computer. We receive your name and email address from your sign-in, handled as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.3. Your session is stored in your user data folder on your computer and is shared by the five Adobe apps.
• Text you submit: We receive the text you type into the panel and ask us to turn into calligraphy, with your chosen language, style, and colour. When you type in Latin (Roman) letters for Hindi, Marathi, or Gujarati, the text is sent to Google's transliteration service to suggest the matching script, as described in Section 2.4. If you click "Edit in Prishora", that design is saved as a project in your Studio99 account.
• Usage and install identifier: We record usage counts (generations and credits used) and technical logs such as errors and response times. The extension also creates a random install identifier, stored in your user data folder, which we use only to apply the free monthly credit allowance fairly per computer and to prevent abuse. 2.10 Calligraphy Maker for CorelDRAW

Calligraphy Maker for CorelDRAW is a docker (side panel) for CorelDRAW on Windows, installed with a signed installer downloaded from our website. When you use it, the following applies in addition to the rest of this policy:

• Your documents: The docker does not read your documents, pages, or files. It only places the design you choose to insert on the active layer of the open document, and saves the files you ask it to save (PNG or SVG downloads in your Downloads folder). The design is written to a temporary file on your computer for the import and deleted straight after.
• Account: Generating designs requires a Studio99 account. Sign-in happens in your web browser, never in the docker; the browser returns a one-time code to the docker on your own computer. We receive your name and email address from your sign-in, handled as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.3. Your session is stored, encrypted, in your user data folder on your computer and is shared by every CorelDRAW version on that computer.
• Text you submit: We receive the text you type into the docker and ask us to turn into calligraphy, with your chosen language, style, and colour. When you type in Latin (Roman) letters for Hindi, Marathi, or Gujarati, the text is sent to Google's transliteration service to suggest the matching script, as described in Section 2.4. If you click "Edit in Prishora", that design is saved as a project in your Studio99 account.
• Usage, install identifier, and CorelDRAW version: We record usage counts (generations and credits used) and technical logs such as errors and response times, together with the CorelDRAW version and docker version in use so we can support you. The docker also creates a random install identifier, stored in your user data folder, which we use only to apply the free monthly credit allowance fairly per computer and to prevent abuse. It is not tied to your device hardware and is not used for advertising. A plain-text activity log is kept on your computer only (never uploaded) to help with support.
• How we use it: Only to provide the service: generating your designs, running your account and monthly credits, answering support requests, and preventing abuse. Docker data is not sold and not used for advertising. Upgrades are purchased on accounts.studio99.app, not inside CorelDRAW.
• Retention & control: Usage records, including the text you submitted, are kept as part of your account history. You can sign out in the docker or uninstall it from Windows Settings at any time; the uninstaller offers to delete your local sign-in and settings. You can delete your Studio99 account and associated data from accounts.studio99.app/dashboard/settings or by emailing reach@studio99.app.

2.11 Studio99 Indic Typography API (developer customers and their end users)

Developers integrate the Studio99 Indic Typography API into their own products. When a developer's product sends text to the API, the following applies:

• End-user text is used only to render: The text a developer's product submits is processed to produce the requested SVG or PNG output and is not stored as content, not used to build profiles, and not used to train models. Short-lived technical logs (request timestamps, response times, error codes, credits used) are kept for billing, abuse prevention and support.
• The developer is the controller: Studio99 acts on the developer's instructions for their end users' text. Developers are responsible for their own privacy notices and for having a lawful basis to send text to the API.
• Developer account data: Your Studio99 account, API keys, plan and usage records are handled as described in Sections 1 and 3.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services

• Detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in these limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist in providing our services (payment processors, email services, cloud hosting)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or legal process
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Secure password hashing with bcrypt (12 salt rounds)
• HttpOnly, secure session cookies
• Rate limiting and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
• Server-side session management with automatic expiry
• Regular security audits and dependency updates

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure:

• Database hosted on Neon PostgreSQL (AWS Southeast Asia)
• Files and assets stored on Cloudflare R2
• We retain your data for as long as your account is active
• You may request deletion of your account and data at any time
• Certain information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

7. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Delete your account and data yourself at accounts.studio99.app/dashboard/settings, or request deletion by email
• Portability: Request export of your data
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
• Object: Object to certain data processing activities

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your session and keep you logged in
• Remember your preferences and settings
• Analyze usage patterns and improve services
• Provide bot protection via Cloudflare Turnstile

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect authentication and service functionality.

9. Third-Party Services

Our services integrate with third-party services:

• Payment Processor: Razorpay (Indian and international cards, UPI and net banking)
• Email Services: AWS SES for transactional emails
• Hosting: Vercel hosts our web apps and the AI assistant connector; Neon hosts our database and Cloudflare stores and serves generated files (see Section 6)
• Authentication: Google OAuth for social sign-in
• Transliteration: Google transliteration service — converts typed Latin text to Unicode script in CalligraphyMaker and the Calligraphy Maker extensions (see Sections 2.4, 2.8, 2.9 and 2.10)
• Advertising: Google AdMob — serves ads in the Calligraphy Maker and AMS Converter Android apps (see Sections 2.5 and 2.7)
• Push Notifications: Expo / Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers mobile app notifications (see Section 2.5)
• Platform Integrations: Canva, Adobe Express, Google Play, MCP-capable AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT (see Section 2.6), the Chrome Web Store, which distributes the Calligraphy Maker browser extension (see Section 2.8), and Adobe Exchange, which distributes the Calligraphy Maker extension for Adobe Creative Cloud apps (see Section 2.9); Calligraphy Maker for CorelDRAW is distributed directly from our website (see Section 2.10)

These third parties have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through our services. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
